Linear Pattern

Repeats a solid in a row or around an axis and joins the copies into one solid, optionally blending the seams.

Inputs

Input Solid

The solid to repeat.

Takes: any block that gives Solid (102 blocks)
Layout Choice

How the copies are placed: shifted along a line by a fixed step, or turned about an axis and spread over a total angle.

Count Number

Total number of copies, the original included (1 to 256).

Offset Vector

Shift from one copy to the next, in mm; each copy moves one step further than the one before.

Axis Vector

Direction of the axis the copies turn around.

Center Vector

A point the axis passes through.

Angle Number

Angle in degrees shared out over the copies; neighbours sit angle/count apart, so 360 gives a closed ring.

Advanced (2)
Blend Number

Blend radius in mm where copies meet; 0 leaves sharp seams.

Blend type Choice

Shape of the blend where copies meet.

Output

Solid

Used by: any block that takes Solid (95 blocks)

Properties

Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.

BoundingBox Bounding Box

The axis-aligned extent of the Solid.

ScalarField Number

The Solid's signed distance, as a field.

Inverted Solid

The Solid turned inside out: what was inside is now outside.
