How thick a mesh's material is at each point, as a scalar field: every interior point takes twice the depth of the mid-surface point it climbs to, and the field is 0 away from the mesh. Computed on a grid of at most 128 cells along the longest side, so it is accurate to about a cell; a shape whose mid-surface shrinks to a point, such as a sphere, gives values of little use.
The mesh to measure; it should be closed so inside and outside are defined.
Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.
The field read as a Solid whose surface is where the field is zero.
The box the field is evaluated in.
The field with its sign flipped (−f), which swaps inside and outside.
The field divided by its gradient length (f/|∇f|) so it reads close to a true distance; the zero set does not move.
