Trim Cell Grid

Removes whole cells from a cell grid by testing each one against a Solid. Cells are kept or dropped intact, never cut; use Trim Beams to cut the finished lattice itself.

Inputs

Cell grid Cell Grid

The cell grid to thin out.

Takes: Cell Grid in Solid, Cell Grid on Surface, Grade Cell Grid, Trim Cell Grid
Solid Solid

The Solid each cell is tested against.

Takes: any block that gives Solid (102 blocks)
Fill type Choice

Which cells pass: Center inside tests the cell centre, Fully inside all eight corners, Touching any overlap (conservative: it can keep a cell that only comes close).

Cells to keep Choice

Inside keeps the cells that pass the fill test; Outside keeps the ones that fail it.

Output

Cell Grid

Used by: Lattice in Solid, Grade Cell Grid, Tile Cells, Trim Cell Grid

Properties

Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.

JacobianDeterminant Number

How much the Cell Grid stretches volume at each point.

U Number

The first cell coordinate at each point, counted in cells.

V Number

The second cell coordinate at each point, counted in cells.

W Number

The third cell coordinate at each point, counted in cells.
