Profile Sweep

Moves a profile along a curve to build a solid. The profile keeps its drawn shape: its bind point follows the curve and the section stays square to the curve's direction.

Inputs

Profile Profile

The cross-section to move along the curve. A section wider than the tightest bend of the curve folds over itself.

Takes: Circle, Curves to Profile, Join Profiles, Points to Polygon, Rectangle, Regular Polygon, Slot, Cross Section
Curve Curve

The path the section follows.

Takes: any block that gives Curve (17 blocks)
Anchor point Point

The spot on the profile that travels along the curve; it is placed on the curve's first point and the section is turned square to the curve there. Pick a point on or close to the profile. Defaults to the profile's origin.

Takes: any block that gives Point (13 blocks)
Start rotation Number

Angle in degrees the section is turned about the curve direction at the start. The turn changes evenly along the curve toward the end rotation.

End rotation Number

Angle in degrees the section is turned about the curve direction at the end.

Output

Solid

Used by: any block that takes Solid (95 blocks)

Properties

Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.

BoundingBox Bounding Box

The axis-aligned extent of the Solid.

ScalarField Number

The Solid's signed distance, as a field.

Inverted Solid

The Solid turned inside out: what was inside is now outside.
