Conic Sweep

Builds a surface of conic arcs spanning between two rail curves, one arc per station along a spine that may curve. Each arc lies in a plane square to the spine and bulges toward the spine point, so the spine sets the outline; rho sets how full the arc is. The result is an open surface with material on the spine side; intersect it with a closed solid to get a finished part.

Inputs

Rail 1 Curve

Curve where each arc begins.

Takes: any block that gives Curve (17 blocks)
Rail 2 Curve

Curve where each arc ends.

Takes: any block that gives Curve (17 blocks)
Spine Curve

Path of the sweep and the apex of every arc. It may curve; the arcs lie in planes square to it.

Takes: any block that gives Curve (17 blocks)
Density Number

Wired rho; takes precedence over the typed value.

Output

Solid

Used by: any block that takes Solid (95 blocks)

Properties

Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.

BoundingBox Bounding Box

The axis-aligned extent of the Solid.

ScalarField Number

The Solid's signed distance, as a field.

Inverted Solid

The Solid turned inside out: what was inside is now outside.
